Scuba-Diving
Imagine spending 30 magical minutes immersed in vibrant marine life, floating through the turquoise water and feeling weightless.
LanzAbility has partnered with the only diving company in the Canary Islands that offers immersions for people with reduced mobility. Using their specially developed adapted water chairs, you’ll embark on a full underwater exploration journey, guided by three experienced diving professionals.
Let’s see how many different fish species and other marine creatures like sea urchins and octopuses you can spot during this unique underwater adventure.
Who can participate? Everyone above the age of 8 years, weighing under 150 kg, and in good health. Always consult us first to ensure your health conditions allow for this activity.
Paragliding
You might not be able to run like an athlete, but who says you can't soar like a bird?
In the spirit of focusing on your ability, not your disability, we've partnered with a local paragliding company that offers a unique experience tailored for people with reduced mobility. The LanzAbility team will help you transition from your wheelchair into the custom harness of the paraglider. After ensuring all safety measures are in place, the specialised paragliding team will assist you during take-off, flight, and landing.
All you need to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy your paragliding adventure, soaring over Lanzarote's breathtaking landscapes.
Pilates
Pilates improves posture, balance, and mobility, enhancing muscle tone and joint flexibility. It's renowned for its stress-relieving benefits, helping to alleviate tension for many.
Suitable for men and women of all ages, Pilates is particularly advantageous for dancers and athletes who incorporate it into their training to enhance overall body strength and flexibility. It also serves as a preventive measure against injuries for those less active in sports or gym activities. We provide individualised one-on-one sessions and small group classes taught by qualified instructors.
Snorkeling
Below the surface of the Atlantic Ocean awaits a unique underwater world. Strap on your fins, snorkel mask, and snorkel, and let's dive in. Explore a diverse marine ecosystem filled with vibrant fish and coral.
We provide fins, snorkel, mask, and water shoes, so you'll have everything you need for your underwater adventure. If needed, we can also supply a wetsuit. Our guides will take you to a nearby protected bay where you can quietly observe various species of fish and other marine creatures. It's a special experience for both young and old!
Bird Watching
Here on Lanzarote, we boast a diverse range of raptors, waders, migratory birds, and even rare species exclusive to these islands. Common sightings include the Egyptian Vulture, Barbary Falcon, Houbara Bustard, and the endemic Berthelot’s Pipit, unique to the Canary Islands.
We know the prime locations and optimal times of year to enhance your chances of sightings and capturing great photographs. In our wheelchair-accessible vehicle, we’ll head straight to the finest spots along routes that are frequently inaccessible to public vehicles due to the rugged terrain.
Horse Riding
Imagine riding a horse along the island's extensive trails, just like in the movies—far from the tourist hustle and bustle. Dreams come true on Lanzarote: there are horses suitable for all ages and riding abilities, from complete beginners to experienced riders, as well as for different levels of physical ability*.
An experienced guide will select a suitable horse for you and accompany you on your rides. Safety is paramount: everyone will be provided with a riding helmet, back protector, and clear safety instructions to ensure a fun yet safe riding experience.

Massage
There are various forms and styles of massage, ranging from Sports Deep Tissue Massage Treatments to relaxation and gentle massage.
Every massage is conducted by a qualified and experienced massage therapist who will discuss your needs before each session.
Each session aims to enhance the condition and function of muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia of the body. It can benefit individuals of all ages and activity levels.
We provide treatments from both male and female professionals.
Trekking
All our guided routes are tailored to suit the group's profile, offering various levels of difficulty and duration. We have also chosen several routes that are accessible for wheelchairs.
We can arrange volcano treks where we explain the history of eruptions and different types of lava and minerals found here on Lanzarote.
Alternatively, we can organise a coastal walk to enjoy the refreshing sea breeze and escape the crowds.
We also offer nature walks where we explain the unique farming methods and talk about the vegetation and plants native to Lanzarote. The walks won’t leave you breathless, but the scenery certainly will!
Island Trip
At LanzAbility, our mission is to make Lanzarote accessible for everyone. That's why we've had to think creatively and discover places and routes on the island that cater to people with reduced mobility.
Join us in our wheelchair-accessible vehicles for a day trip through Lanzarote's stunning landscapes, visiting spots where tour buses seldom venture—always ensuring safety and wheelchair accessibility. We'll guide you to charming villages, volcanic sites where you can witness volcanic activity, secluded beaches, and dramatic coastlines where crashing waves provide a mesmerising natural spectacle against the rocks.
Each island day trip is customised to suit the needs and abilities of the group, as well as individual preferences, weather conditions, and timing. This ensures a unique adventure experience and plenty of fun for all!
Wine Tasting
Did you know that the regional wine from Lanzarote now attracts wine lovers from all over the world? We'll take you to the rural areas of the island where you can discover the craft of local wine growing and production. It's truly unique, unlike anywhere else in the world, not even on the other Canary Islands.
Your experienced guide will explain how some local farmers still produce wine in the traditional Canarian way. Afterwards, you'll have the chance to taste at least 10 different regional wines in wheelchair-accessible bodegas. And if you like, you can even purchase a bottle of your favourite wine, which isn't available in regular supermarkets—the perfect souvenir.
Please note: Our experience has shown that it’s not always advisable to let our guests drive home alone after a wine tasting. Therefore, we’ll take care of the driving and ensure you get home safely.
Boat Trip
As we're located on an island, a boat tour is a must-do experience. Out in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, you can leave your worries behind and enjoy the clear blue waters—maybe even spot a few dolphins! Feel the gentle sway of the waves, hear the lapping water, and take in the stunning view of Lanzarote's coastline.
We've partnered with a company that offers 2-3 hour boat tours accessible to LanzAbility guests in wheelchairs. However, for safety reasons, participants must remain seated in their wheelchairs throughout the journey.
Close-up Plane Spotting
After living in the same place for nearly two decades, you can sometimes overlook certain things without realising their appeal to others. Such as plane spotting!
There are several beaches located near Lanzarote Airport where you can unwind under a sunshade while observing airplanes taking off or landing seemingly just above your head. It's certainly not an everyday sight. Especially families with young children love this experience!
Traditional Canarian Cooking
Instead of bringing back a physical souvenir, why not collect recipes and recreate some of your favourite Canarian dishes at home?
Led by local chefs, this hands-on cooking class delves into the flavours and techniques of authentic Canarian cuisine. Learn to prepare iconic dishes such as Papas Arrugadas (wrinkled potatoes), Mojo sauces, and fresh seafood specialties using locally-sourced ingredients. Swim with Dolphins

Known for their therapeutic benefits, dolphins offer a unique sensory experience that can lift your spirits and bring you a deep sense of relaxation. Our friendly, experienced team ensures a safe and enjoyable encounter, whether you're new to swimming with dolphins or have done it before.
Beehive Visit
Do you know what bees live on in the volcanic desert of Lanzarote? Join Selina, a trilingual beekeeper, and our team for a 2.5-hour visit to uncover the secrets of buzzing bees that produce the most delicious honey.
During your visit, you'll learn about the plants from which the bees collect nectar and pollen, the roles of the queen, drones, and workers inside and outside the beehive, and you’ll even get to open a beehive and look inside—all while wearing protective beekeeping clothing. A sweet highlight of the tour is the honey tasting. Let’s see if you can distinguish between honey from Lanzarote and other Canary Islands.
